This page explains the cookies and similar storage that tarnua.ie uses. The website is operated by SYNECT LIMITED, trading as Tarnua. Our Privacy Policy explains everything else about how we handle personal data.
What we use, and when
Before you choose anything, the site sets no cookies apart from the record of your choice, which the banner needs in order to work.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Your consent choice | Usercentrics, our consent tool | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner does not ask on every page | We ask again after 6 months | No: it is strictly necessary for the banner to work |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Tells one browser from another, so we can count visitors without knowing who they are | About 13 months | Yes |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the state of a visit, so pages seen in one visit are counted together | About 13 months | Yes |
Google Analytics does not load, and sends nothing, until you choose "Accept". We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies. The contact form sets no cookies.
Printed cards and links
The QR codes on our printed cards open this site with a few extra words in the address, such as utm_source=business_card. They tell us which card or link brought a visitor. They set nothing in your browser, and Google Analytics reads them only if you accept analytics.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page. You can also delete cookies, or block them, in your browser's settings; if you block the consent record, the banner will ask again on each visit.
Who provides these tools
- Usercentrics GmbH, Germany, runs the consent banner.
- Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics 4. The data reaches Google's servers outside the EEA, including the USA, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses, as our Privacy Policy sets out.
Changes and contact
We update this page when a cookie is added, removed or changed, and the "Last updated" date at the top shows when. Questions: hello@tarnua.ie.
