What we build
Software for the records side of a site.
We start with one task your team does by hand, such as maintenance records, spare parts or weekly reports, and put in writing what is worth building and what is not.
A call with the founder about one task at your site.
What we build
The paperwork around the machines, not the machines themselves.
Inspection registers
Lifting gear, forklifts, pressure vessels, fume extraction, refrigeration units and fire equipment in one list, each with its next due date. Scan the tag on the equipment to open its latest report.
Maintenance records at the machine
Each job logged against the asset it was done on, from a phone at the machine, so the history is there for the next person.
Paperwork read in by AI
Examination reports, certificates and dockets read into your records by AI. A person checks every entry before it counts.
Spare parts
What is on the shelf, what went into which job and what to reorder, linked to your accounts package or spreadsheets.
Reports
The weekly or monthly report someone puts together by hand, built instead from the records and your current system’s exports, in Excel or Power BI.
Setting up the system you have
The maintenance or stock system you already use, set up for your site, with the spreadsheets moved into it.
For EPA-licensed sites, we draft the annual environmental report from your own records, for you to check, sign and submit. Where AI helps, the scope says so, a person checks what it produces, and anything AI wrote is marked as AI.
How it starts
Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.
A free 30-minute call Free
You tell us about one task and the system you already use for it. We say whether a small piece of software would help, and often the answer is to use that system better. The call is on Google Meet, not recorded, and carries no obligation.
A Scoping Sprint €900 fixed, ex VAT
A document, not software, delivered within one week of kickoff. It includes:
- One 60-minute kickoff session
- A written scope for one task at your site
- A prioritised shortlist, including an honest "don’t build this" where the numbers don’t work
- A fixed price for the build
Where you accept our written build quote within 30 days of receiving the Scoping Sprint deliverables, €450 of the Sprint fee is credited against that build, whenever the build contract is then signed.
A build, if the scope says so Priced in the scope
Only under a written contract: a Client Services Agreement, a statement of work and a Data Processing Agreement, signed once you accept the scope and its price. The scope also says when a build could start. You hold the hosting and app store accounts in your own name.
What we do not touch
These stay with your own engineers and suppliers.
- Machine control, PLCs and SCADA
- Safety functions
- Deciding whether equipment is fit to use
- Permits to work and lockout
- Plant and control networks
- Anything that monitors, scores or ranks your staff
- Pharmaceutical and medical device quality systems
Your competent person's verdict is shown as they wrote it. Anything we look for in the records is about the assets, never the people who work on them.
Who it is for
Irish manufacturing and industrial sites, and the firms that inspect and maintain their equipment, with one task still done by hand that a small piece of software could take off someone's hands. The task goes; the person stays.
We are not yet taking Sprints from firms in regulated professions: solicitors, accountants, and property and engineering practices. A free call is still open to them.
Your data
A demonstration uses sample data, never yours. Before any personal data is involved, and the names of the technicians in your records count, a Data Processing Agreement is signed, and we act as your processor. How we handle what you send us is in our privacy policy, and how an engagement works is in our terms, section 13.
Start with one task.
Tarnua is one Irish company with one founder, Pouyesh Izady. The first call is with him: thirty minutes, free, about one task at your site that is still done by hand.
